The rooms at Smile Resort were so cozy and comfortable with heated floors and air conditioning. It felt like a little home away from home.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the views from my room, but others might still enjoy them.

The location of this place was great, close to the national park and easy to explore the area. The host spoke English and was really friendly, which made the stay more enjoyable. The breakfast that was included was a nice touch and helped start the day on a good note. Plus, the rooms were comfortable and clean, providing a cozy stay.
There were a couple negatives to note. The shower water was barely lukewarm in the evenings, which was not ideal, especially during the colder weather.

The hotel itself is newly renovated and the nicest in the area. I loved the clean and comfortable room, complete with hot water and a comfy bed. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the national park and surrounded by shops and restaurants. a homy and cozy feeling, thanks to Ted and his family.

We had a fantastic family stay at Smile Resort in Sokcho, just a stone's throw away from the breathtaking Seoraksan National Park. The spacious and well-equipped rooms provided all the comfort we needed. The friendly and accommodating staff made us feel right at home, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience. The surrounding natural beauty, with a peaceful stream and forest, provided a tranquil retreat for our large family. The convenient location, with a bus stop just a few meters away, made exploring the park and nearby attractions a breeze. Smile Resort offered great value for money and exceeded our expectations as a family-friendly accommodation.
For families with children, my wife says that having a kids' play area would be a wonderful addition to further enhance the family experience.

A Toasty Stay and Mountain Views
During my stay at Smile Resort & Guesthouse, I experienced one of the most satisfying features of the hotel - the heated floors. Coming back from a chilly day exploring Seorak-san National Park, I stepped into my room and instantly felt like a marshmallow in a cup of hot chocolate. It was pure bliss, as if I had my personal toasty sanctuary amidst the cool autumn weather. And the best part? I still had a marvelous view of the mountains from my window. It was like having a front-row seat to a breathtaking nature documentary, right from the comfort of my room.
The only hiccup in my otherwise delightful stay was the barely lukewarm shower in the evenings. While it might be forgivable in the summertime, it was a tad disappointing for chilly autumn nights.

I stayed at a resort in Sokcho that had an extremely welcoming and hospitable owner. They were very helpful and answered all of my questions about our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely view of the mountains. After a day of walking in the national park, it was nice to relax in the outdoor seating area. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Didn't dislike anything about the property. 🙂

The Smile Resort has a small art gallery, which adds a unique and artistic touch to the atmosphere. It's like staying in a museum, but much more comfortable!
Limited hot water supply.

I recently stayed at a well-run family hotel in a quiet village near Seoraksan National Park. The manager, who speaks fluent English, was friendly and helpful, assisting us with planning our itinerary and providing us with a map of the park. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short taxi ride or 40-minute walk to the park entrance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast service was exceptional, with the owner going above and beyond to accommodate an early riser like me.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

During my stay at Smile Resort, I had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location was perfect for my adventures at Seoraksan National Park and other nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions I had. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a long day of exploring. Additionally, I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere by the scenic stream that runs through the village. Although there were a few minor inconveniences such as limited food options and some street dirtiness, these were easily overlooked considering the overall pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Smile Resort for a satisfying stay in Sokcho.
